We've been at Matt and Kristi's since Sunday evening and go home this evening.

While here, we've been doing some yard work. We gathered up all tumble weeds from the yard, and then while they were burning, we brought over all the prunings from the orchard and added them to the fire. For some pyromaniacs, it was pretty impressive..

The orchard is full of bees, it really buzzes back there.

We spent the last few days cutting down all of the elms, chopping them up and running all the small stuff through a chipper. Most of the elms were down the right side of the yard. Kristi and Matt want to put nut trees back there. There are also some wild trees in the back of the orchard, they are a little more tricky because you don't want to drop them on the fruit trees or the fences or anything else. Monday, we planted 9 new fruit trees in thee orchard. They have 10 more to plant, but need to get some stumps moved out first. The yard sure looks bigger with the trees out of the way.

We've been staying in the basement, and this toad was in the window well one night.
