Paris - Day 3

Arc de Triomphe

Eiffel Tower

You know how people will pull a small car sometimes behind their motor home...... Barges on the Seine will do that too....

Another reason not to buy McDonald's here.....those are Euros for the prices. Euros currently equal about $1.20-1.25 each making a Big Mac with fries and a drink $11.00-13.00. That's NOT a value meal.

Notre Dame

Inside Notre Dame

Notre Dame model
We did two back-to-back tours today, both had river excersions on them. One visited the Eiffel Tower and the other visited Notre Dame. Both drove some through different parts of the city and pointed out historical buildings and sites. We have gotten pretty good at using the subway here. Tomorrow is Bastille Day and most attractions will be closed. We are thinking about getting a day pass for the subway and just riding it most of the day to different points, it would only pay if we could get off and then back on again. You can ride most anywhere in the system with a ticket as long as you don't go outside of a gate. If you go out, you need a new ticket. A day pass would fix that problem.

Why would they put a model of Notre Dame inside Notre Dame? Don't you know what it looks like at that point?
