We went to a concert at UNLV this afternoon. It was a scholarship fundraiser for the music dept. Trombone players have been doing this concert for 25 years. They come from all over for the concert. One guy, Elliot Mason, performs with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, in NYC. He was pretty good. They all were pretty good. The oldest one was 88 and the youngest was 13. Good concert, they played a big variety of genres, jazz, blues, big band, marching, etc.

Cool. Your comment reminded me of a concert we caught a couple years ago. The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra came to town, and played in a 100-year-old theater downtown. It was fun.
