So we were watching a Disney video version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, when we got to the part where the caterpillar makes its cocoon, one of my girls said, "I know, it's making it's crysallis." And I'm thinking, "Crysallis!?! Where the heck did you get that word?"
OK, she IS one of the smartest kids in my class, but maybe not quite as smart as thought. When I translate crysallis into Spanish using Babelfish, I get crysallis. She's Hispanic.

Olivia learned the word chrysalis last year when she was in preschool.
Andrew has watched cartoons where they have used the term chrysalis also. I think watching the cartoon with him was the first time I ever heard it though!
