This afternoon, one of the teacher aides saw a man at the back of the school carrying a knife and holding onto a girl. She reported this to the office, which launched a whole series of procedures. They were searching for him, and trying to account for all of the students, and had the police on the phone when they finally located the man and child.
It was her birthday, the knife was for the cake, and they were in a classroom having a party, oblivious to all of the excitement........
