The brick work is the front office addition. They are extending the office out front more and going higher with the office front. Friday, from where the cones are below the American Flag, heading to the left, they dug a 5-6 foot deep trench in the parking lot all the way to the left side of the school.They ran a separate trench down this side of the multi-purpose room, (building on the left) and around the back of it. (taking out and digging under some new concrete they just poured two weeks ago..........
The trench then continues across the front of the multi-purpose room and heads down the other side of it, going all the way down the side of the school to the back. They put in a new fire hydrant by the middle pile of dirt on the left side of the picture. (this was good, I don't think we had one close) Friday when we went to school, the only way into the school was by jumping this ditch, and walking through the multipurpose room to get to our rooms. (the trench on the right side of the multipurpose room hadn't been dug yet) It's just amazing that we are attempting to conduct school with all of this going on. At least they did this part during the week and a half that the kids were out.

It is hard to believe that you school being the way it is would pass safety inspection to allow kids in or near the building. Sure adults can jump across the ditch but do you really want kids doing especially 5 and 6 year olds.

They are REALLY trying to get the trenches filled back in before the kids show up next Wednesday. Who knows, they MIGHT make it. Safety inspection? The School District? Somehow they seem to operate under a different set of rules then the rest of the world. It's a crazy place and it looks like it's going to stay crazy for a while.
